Youngsters set reading record
Children using an innovative reading scheme have set a new record for the number of minutes spent cosying up with a book. A literacy roadshow visited Canterbury city centre to announce that youngsters taking part in Buster’s Book Club have achieved more than five million minutes of reading. The scheme, run by the KM Charity Team, encourages children’s reading through a series of inter-class and inter-school challenges.
