Stamp makes his mark with medal win
Faversham GC
Stuart Stamp edged to victory on countback in Faversham GC’S latest Midweek Medal. The 21-handicapper carded a net 69 to push 15-handicapper Frank Martin into second. May’s Monthly Medal was won by Nathan Lyons (h25) with a net 63, three clear of runner-up Ian Pritchard playing off 28. The Belmont Bowl was claimed by Daryl Miller with a net 64 playing off 16 which pipped 13-handicapper Glen Cole on countback. Steven Packer (h13) was third with a net 67. Jeff Wilson won the Bogey competition, finishing six better than the course off a 15 handicap with Steve Loud in second, five better off playing with a 17 handicap. The Pairs was won by Michael James (4) and Rob Clark (1) with 47 points, two clear of Glen Cole (12) and Clive Davies (8). The ladies held their Invitation and Open events, attracting 48 and 44 players respectively. A team from Chart Hills won the open event. Faversham will be holding their Open Week from Monday, June 5, to Saturday, June 10.
