Ex-pupil faces assault charge

A former Simon Langton schoolboy has been charged with assaulting a woman. Finbar Shirley, of Meadow Close in Bridge, is accused of causing actual bodily harm to the woman on June 4.

The 23-year-old, whose Facebook page says he is a former King’s School pupil, appeared in court on July 4 when magistrates transferred the case to Canterbury Crown Court.

Shirley is due to appear there on Monday, October 2.
