Dis­cov­er­ing Arts has never been so much fun!

Can­ter­bury Festival works year-round, of­fer­ing young peo­ple the op­por­tu­nity to achieve all lev­els of Arts Award – a national qual­i­fi­ca­tion for young peo­ple (aged 5-25).

This year, school­child­ren at­tend­ing the festival’s fam­i­lyfriendly shows can ex­tend their af­ter­noon by en­joy­ing free post-show work­shops in cir­cus, pup­petry, mu­sic-mak­ing and more.

They will also come away with a Discover Arts Award. To en­sure a place, please book your free work­shop at the same time as book­ing tick­ets.

For the third year, the Can­ter­bury Festival has com­mis­sioned Act­lab to pro­duce a show de­signed specif­i­cally for chil­dren with pro­found mul­ti­ple learn­ing dif­fi­cul­ties or an autis­tic spec­trum dis­or­der, their friends and fam­i­lies.

Biko­rdeon will be com­ing to the festival on Oc­to­ber 24.

Visitors can ex­pect a re­laxed, sen­sory en­vi­ron­ment in the ac­ces­si­ble set­ting of the Festival Spiegel­tent.
