Plenty to cheer at home show

Ayle­sham ABC hosted their first show of the sea­son on Satur­daynight at a packed Dover town hall. The event had been planned for sev­eral months and re­sulted in 14 ac­tion­packed bouts. More than 100 guests en­joyed a sil­ver ser­vice din­ner and the event at­tracted clubs from all over Kent – St Mary’s (Chatham), Ten­ter­den, Rum­bles (Sit­ting­bourne) and Ash­ford – while other clubs trav­elled from Lon­don and Southamp­ton, Two Ayle­sham box­ers en­joyed vic­to­ries. Jack Roberts, 17, cel­e­brated his first vic­tory for the club and 13-year-old Billy Cham­pion. It was his 10th bout for the home club. Jamie Keyes, 10, had a skills bout while Khris Baker just missed out in the clos­ing sec­onds of the last round, The club would like to thank spon­sors MAS Garage, The Funky Mon­key, Colin Hoyle Prin­ters and Equip Scaf­fold­ing.
