Adalta’s Ken Jones and son Adam finished the extremely tough Original Mountain Marathon in the Lake District. The pair finished 46th of 55 finishers on the B-class course, with 103 dropping out. A tough weekend involved 18 hours of running, the pair covering saturated ground, with 4,500 metres of climbing. Ken said: “The weather was very bad on Saturday, driving horizontal rain, winds of 65mph-plus, and hill fog down to 300m. “Sunday was bright and sunny, but cold and with a very strong wind.”
