The Division 2 title race continues to intensify with only one point separating the top five. Monument PFC A top the pile on goal difference after Ritchie Martin’s hat-trick helped them to a 5-1 win over Herne Bay Athletic. Keith Foad and David Reed were the other scorers. Bay United occupy second spot and heading a trio of clubs behind them on 12 points are Faversham United, who pipped Littlebour­ne Reserves 4-3. James Prior struck twice with Jonny Woollard and Courtney Coveney also on target. Canterbury Toon broke their duck – at the seventh attempt – with Charlie Wallis, Sam Johnson and Michael Smith the scorers in a 3-2 win over City Lions, whose replies came via Nathan Moat and Sebastian Clark.
