INCANTATIONS FROM THE ABYSS UK EXTREME METAL CULT CHANNEL THE UNKNOWN ON RARE DEMOS COMPILATION

Kerrang! (UK) - - REVIEWS - (INVICTUS) Olly THOMAS

■ SPOKEN ALOUD, their name sounds like a demented bird squawk. However, there’s nothing funny about Qrixkuor or their current trajectory. They just spent June doing a full North American tour, not an undertaking usually enjoyed by dwellers of the UK extreme metal underground. Moreover, they achieved this despite a discography which runs to just one mini-album and the two demo tapes compiled here. Qrixkuor don’t so much walk the line between black and death metal as enact a ritual to kill it with demonic fire.the lo-fi origins of these recordings are belied by perfectly-realised sonic blasphemy, making the prospect of an actual album something to look forward to with trepidatious excitement. DOWNLOAD: Consecration Of The Temple, the Benign Architect. FOR FANS OF: Blasphemy, Portal.
