SPACE WITCH

ARCANUM (HEVISIKE) MIND-TRIPPING DOOM METAL PROJECTING TO YOU FROM THE ASTRAL REALM OF STOKE

Kerrang! (UK) - - REVIEWS - STEVE BEEBEE

■ DRIVEN NOT so much by spells and black cats as by densely formulated riffs, arcanum is a psychedelic doom trip worth taking. Despite offering only four tracks over 44 minutes, each number is an evolving mini-masterpiece. astroGenocide’ s hypnotic guitar pulses into unexpected headspace at the halfway point, and they even celebrate with some vocals, a rarity in the Stoke-based band’s peculiar world.they spice their cauldron with incense-burning space-rock – Battle Hag and Cosmonoid, both over 12 minutes long, mesmerise before suddenly jerking the zenned-out listener into a world of headbanging heaviness.those who have a taste for such darkness will be frozen in place by Space Witch’s metallic hex. DOWNLOAD: Astro Genocide. FOR FANS OF: Electric Wizard, Bongzilla.
