Kerrang! (UK) - - Reading Leads -

HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP YOUR YEAR SO FAR?

HENRY COX (VOCALS): “It’s been really non-stop! I think it’s probably been the first full year where we’ve been relentlessly busy without a break.we’ve got so much done, so it’s definitely been the best year in the band’s life so far.”

WHAT’S THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU’VE LEARNED?

“I think it’s been the case that if you play and exist with the same people for a whole year, you just learn how to be a better band; to become more of a ‘unit’.”

HOW DO YOU FEEL TO BE PLAYING R&L?

“We’re buzzing! We grew up with Reading & Leeds. I bailed on getting my GCSE results when I was 15 to go to Leeds! I’ve been four or five times over the years.”

WHAT ARE YOUR ENDURING MEMORIES OF GOING THERE?

“Oh man – there are so many! Deftones, blink-182,arctic Monkeys.the first time I heard of twenty one pilots was at Reading & Leeds.years ago I was walking past this tiny little tent and saw these two fellas jumping around with a piano and thought,‘this looks interesting!’ I didn’t hear of them again for two years, and all of a sudden they’re the biggest stars in the world!”

IF YOU COULD COLLABORATE WITH ANY ACT ON THE BILL, WHO WOULD YOU PICK?

“I’d get Liam Gallagher on a track! He can sing and I’ll play the tambourine.” THE PIT / THE LOCK up; R: FRIDAY, 6:55pm; L: SATURDAY, 6:55pm
