YOU’VE FINALLY HEADLINED A UK FESTIVAL! HOW DOES IT FEEL?
“It feels great! It’s not the first time we’ve been in a position like this – but it is the first time in the UK. Perhaps sometimes you get spoiled. Last weekend we played high on the bill at Wacken; the day before, we played Polish Woodstock – literally to so many people that you couldn’t even count them! That said, it’s still fucking awesome to play Bloodstock, and finally to be able to headline in the UK.
It’s about giving the UK fans the show they truly deserve.”
“There is! The UK is a strong [scene] for metal. It’s a big deal. Especially for us as a Swedish band, where it’s not so easy to get in here. The UK scene is generally more reflective of the American one – and American bands tend to find it much easier to break through here. It’s just very cool!”
WE’RE IN THE MIDLANDS, THE HOME OF HEAVY METAL. IS THERE A PARTICULAR AURA TO THIS PLACE?
