T his year’s Ker­rang! Awards take place in Lon­don on June 21 and, as well as the awards them­selves, Ker­rang! will bring you a se­ries of spe­cial events and ex­clu­sive filmed performances. The artists participating in Ker­rang! Awards Week in­clude three of our favourite cover stars… EN­TER SHIKARI Nom­i­nated in three cat­e­gories at this year’s K! Awards, Rou Reynolds’ rab­ble rousers will play an ex­clu­sive, in­ti­mate 60-capacity Lon­don show on Tues­day, June 19. The quar­tet will also be play­ing 2000trees Fes­ti­val on July 14 and the Boom­town Fes­ti­val on Au­gust 11, and have other plans up their sleeve that will be an­nounced via their site – En­ter­ – in due course. The band’s Ker­rang! Awards show will be filmed for fu­ture broad­cast via the K! Youtube chan­nel. COREY TAY­LOR The Slip­knot and Stone Sour front­man will be pre­sented with the Ker­rang! Leg­end Award at this year’s awards cer­e­mony. On June 20, he will also help launch the Ker­rang! In Con­ver­sa­tion se­ries, which will see mag­a­zine editor Sam Coare in­ter­view­ing the man at K! HQ in front of 50 com­pe­ti­tion winners. Their en­counter will be live-streamed via Ker­rang!’s Face­book page. Corey him­self is cur­rently on tour with Stone Sour in sup­port of last year’s Hy­dro­grad al­bum, with their UK shows kicking off on June 17. Awards back in 2014, the Wrex­ham punks have grown in stature since then – a point borne out by last year’s The Peace And The Panic al­bum. Nom­i­nated this year in the Best Song cat­e­gory, the quin­tet will play an in­ti­mate K! Pit show on June 20, which will be filmed and broad­cast via Ker­rang!’s Youtube chan­nel in due course.
