“We basically recorded everything we ever did from day one. There’s our first-ever rehearsal, when I showed up with my banana-yellow Gretsch drum kit! That practice is probably pretty cool-sounding. There’s stuff we did early on in the UK – that acoustic show at [legendary Soho strip club] Paul Raymond’s Revuebar, where we did a version of David Bowie’s Kooks and covered Syd Barrett’s Terrapin. There’s early shows at [fabled Chicago venue] the Metro, where we’re playing Crystal Ship by The Doors and Venus In Furs by The Velvet

Underground… There’s so much that there’s at least a year’s worth of listening to be done, to cherry-pick the best of that stuff. There’s tons of versions of the Machina songs that never came out. There’s lots of cool experimentation that we did, too. For the fan who’s willing to go deep, there’s a lot of buried treasure there.”
