2. *With­out turn­ing the work, slide the stitches to the other end of the left hand nee­dle and take the yarn across the back of the work. 3. Knit the two stitches.** 4. Re­peat from * to **. Break the yarn, leav­ing at least a 10cm length and thread this length onto a ta­pes­try nee­dle. 7. Slide the stitches along to the tip of the nee­dle again and, with­out turn­ing your work, thread your nee­dle through the stitches one at a time, slip­ping them off the nee­dle as you do so. 8. When both stitches are off the nee­dle, pull the yarn end tight enough to fas­ten them off se­curely. 9. Weave in ends if de­sired and around your wrist as be­fore.

4 CHUNKY CORD Make an i-cord as fol­lows: 1. Us­ing a pair of 7mm dou­ble pointed nee­dles cast on three stitches. 2. *With­out turn­ing the work, slide stitches to other end of left hand nee­dle and take yarn across back of work. 3. Knit the three stitches.** 4. Re­peat from * to **. At first the stitches will feel quite baggy, but af­ter you’ve knit­ted sev­eral rows you‘ll find that the i-cord will start to tighten up and be­come neater. 5. Work from * to **, re­peat­ing this se­quence un­til you have made a cord long enough to fas­ten around your wrist. 6. Break yarn, leav­ing a piece at least 10cm in length and thread it onto a ta­pes­try nee­dle. 7. Slide the stitches along to the tip of the nee­dle again and, with­out turn­ing your work, thread your nee­dle through the stitches one at a time, slip­ping them off the nee­dle as you do so. 8.
