MAKING UP Block out each piece of knit­ting and, fol­low­ing the in­struc­tions on the ball band, press the gar­ment pieces. Take spe­cial care to press the edges as this will make sewing up both eas­ier and neater. Join both front and right back raglan seams us­ing back stitch, or mat­tress stitch if pre­ferred.

NECK­BAND With RS fac­ing and us­ing 3.25mm nee­dles, pick up and knit 12 sts from top of left sleeve, and 7 ( 7: 9: 9: 11) sts down left side of front neck, k across 56 sts on front holder, pick up and knit 7 ( 7: 9: 9: 11) sts up right side of front neck, and 12 sts from top of right sleeve, then k across 66 ( 66: 68: 68: 70) sts on back holder. 160 ( 160: 166: 166: 172) sts. Work in garter st for 8 rows, WS fac­ing for next row. Cast off knit­wise (on WS).
