TO FELT Put the scrubby into a mesh lin­gerie bag or a zip-up pil­low case. Wash in the wash­ing ma­chine with other cloth­ing at 40°C with de­ter­gent. The fric­tion and tem­per­a­ture will help with the felt­ing process. Take the scrubby out of the mesh bag and pull into shape. Mea­sure it and re­peat the wash­ing process if you need it to shrink more. Dry thor­oughly an air­ing cup­board works well).

TO FIN­ISH Fold the ribbed edge over and sew into place, en­cas­ing the pip­ing cord as you go along. Knot the ends of the cord to­gether. Turn the soap scrubby the right way round again and pop in your soap.
