MAK­ING UP 1 Weave in all ends. 2 Us­ing a finer but strong match­ing yarn (such as cot­ton DK) join the two short ends of the cowl us­ing back stitch and weave in re­main­ing ends. Com­plete the set with a pair of fin­ger­less gloves. Ideal for those who like to text on the run! STRIPE SE­QUENCE MC – 4 rows Yarn E – 4 rows Yarn J – 2 rows Yarn C – 6 rows Yarn B – 4 rows Yarn H – 2 rows Yarn A – 2 rows Yarn D – 4 rows MC – 1 row LEFT GLOVE Us­ing 3.25mm nee­dles and MC cast on 30 ( 34: 38) sts. Row 1 (RS): K2 (p2, k2) to end of row. Row 2 (WS): P2 (k2, p2) to end of row. Re­peat the last 2 rows three more times. You should have worked 8 rows of k2, p2 rib.

Change to 4mm nee­dles. Be­gin stripe se­quence and fol­low 29 row stripe se­quence through­out the rest of the pat­tern un­less in­structed oth­er­wise. Row 9 (RS): Knit. Row 10 (WS): Purl.

The last two rows make up stock­ing

Us­ing back­ward loop method (see p91) cast on 2 stitches over gap, mak­ing sure to pull new stitches very tight to avoid bag­gi­ness, knit to end of row. 30 ( 34: 38) sts **** Con­tinue in stock­ing stitch to end of stripe se­quence, end­ing with a WS row in MC.
