TOP AND BASE (MAKE 2 US­ING SIL­VER, 2 US­ING ASPEN) Cast on 6 sts. Knit 3 rows. Cast off. 1 Sew seams of up­per arm and lower arm. Place lower arm to up­per arm at in­side nar­row sec­tion of arm and sew across seam. 2 Insert first tri­an­gu­lar end of el­bow into space be­tween lower arm and up­per arm and sew in place. 3 Sew mid­dle sec­tion of el­bow to out­side nar­row edges of up­per arm and lower arm then sew other tri­an­gle to rem space be­tween up­per arm and lower arm. Arm should now be at an an­gle. 4 Stuff arm with fill­ing. Sew Sil­ver top to top of arm and Aspen base to base of arm. Rep with sec­ond arm. 5 Place arms at sides of body and sew in po­si­tion. 6 Make claw hands by cast­ing on 12 sts us­ing Black, work­ing two rows st st, then cast­ing off. 7 Place a length of 4.5cm pipe cleaner into cen­tre of claw and sew edges tog (omit the pipe cleaner if robot is in­tended for a young child). 8 Curve into a cir­cu­lar shape. Sew po­si­tion Aspen ends se­curely.
