THE THIRD-GEN­ER­A­TION Range Rover re­mains a ve­hi­cle to as­pire to own. Ear­lier ex­am­ples are very af­ford­able, but don’t un­der­es­ti­mate the run­ning costs – es­pe­cially from the petrol V8s. The Td6 is, of course, less thirsty. Driv­e­train and elec­tric prob­lems are com­mon now, al­though most elec­tron­ics can be sorted with modern di­ag­no­sis equip­ment. When L322s start to go wrong, they get very ex­pen­sive. Parts aren't cheap, ei­ther. BUYER'S TIP: Prices tum­bling – but not cheap to run. SPEC­I­FI­CA­TIONS
