“I’m ex-army, so I’ve had Land Rovers all my life, including a few 109s like this Series III, which I’ve had six months and is my everyday car. I’ve recently put in new chassis rails for its MOT. Besides being a fireman, I do tree surgery and gardening, too, so it’s ideal.
“At home I’ve also got an 88-inch Series III, a 200Tdi Defender 90 and a 1987 four-door 3.9 V8 Range Rover, which is in the garden awaiting restoration. It’s an ex-press car, registration G – DHP.
“I’ve been all over the world in Land Rovers and practically lived in one for six months in Bosnia, when I was in the army. Land Rovers are special to me because they are iconic and British.”
