Late season strawberries can give a cool glass of milk a twist of fruity flavour. The strawberries are gathered, their tops sliced off and any blemishes removed before they are puréed with a hand blender and frozen in ice cube trays. Some can also be frozen whole. The berry cubes are then dropped into a glass of milk or sparkling white wine, where they gradually impart their sweet aromatic flavour.
