Taking a break from the field

My husband and I heard we were to become allotment holders at the beginning of March. My husband worked hard preparing the land to sow our vegetable seeds. I began to sew a scarecrow: it was more difficult than I imagined. This is Sam resting in my workroom before going to protect our crops. He looks happy now he is on duty and he makes other allotment holders smile.
