Leicester Mercury - - News -

OFFICIALS are advising drivers in the city around Saturday lunchtime to allow extra time for their journey.

St Nicholas Place (outside Hotel Maiyango) will be closed to traffic from about 9am for the march to the King Power Stadium.

The procession route will also mean the temporary closure of the Swan Bridge Gyratory roundabout and the junction with Upperton Road and Walnut Street – the site of the replica Statue of Liberty – to allow the procession to cross into Raw Dykes Road on its way to the stadium.

Traffic will not be able to use the route from about 1pm to 2.30pm while the walk passes.

Additional road closures may be brought into effect if necessary.
