Roads to shut for lighting renewal
Motorists are facing traffic disruption as work is ongoing to improve lighting on the A82.
Sections of the road will be shut overnight until Tuesday, March 14, while 16 lampposts are replaced with brighter, more energy efficient alternatives.
Each night, parts of the road at the Dalnottar interchange and at the Erskine Bridge will close.
Scotland Transerv’s major bridges manager said: “We are working to improve lighting on the Dalnottar interchange.
“This LED lighting not only helps to reduce longterm maintenance costs, but can cut energy usage by up to 70 percent, helping Scotland to meet its longterm environmental targets.”
Scotland TranServ’s operating company representative Andy Fraser, added: “The health and safety of our workers, and that of the motoring public is of utmost importance to Scotland Transerv and that is why it will be necessary to implement these short-term traffic management measures during this important programme of work.”
