Gothe distance forRed NoseDay
Runners have been invited to don their red noses for the annual Red Nose Day run.
Organised by Bonhill runner Maurice Donohue and West Dunbartonshire Athletics Club, the event will take place on Saturday, March 25.
Participants are encouraged to join in the fun and come along in fancy dress or wearing a red nose. No money will be taken to take part in the run, but donations can be made to https://www. rednoseday.com/
The run is being organised in partnership with the weekly 5k Balloch Run ’n’ Park.
The run starts at the main gates of Balloch Park at 9.30am on the day and people of all ages and fitness levels can take part by walking, jogging or running. There is no registration, no fee and no official recording of times.
Maurice said: “We want families, children, parents and grandparents to join in because it’s all about keeping fit, no matter what your age or fitness level.
“What we want to do is show the community how easy it is to stay active and exercise. We want to encourage families to get out and about and active, especially when we have such great outdoor spaces like Balloch Park on our doorstep.”
The Balloch Run ’n’ Park takes place every Saturday. There are 5k and 2k routes.
