Region pushed as cultural hotspot
Efforts are being made to promote West Dunbartonshire as a historical and cultural hub with the creation of a new council committee.
The communications, museums and cultural development committee will hold its first meeting tomorrow (Wednesday).
Its purpose is to promote the area “building on the significant historical and cultural legacy of the past”.
It will also devise a strategy to “realise the potential of culture as a key component of economic growth and tourism”.
Activities and events will be explored and developed through working groups.
