Top brass at base
Staff at Faslane were visited by the head of the Royal Navy, Admiral Sir Philip Jones.
Accompanied by his wife, Lady Elizabeth Jones, the First Sea Lord toured both Faslane and Coulport.
Two personnel from Clyde were presented with medals during the visit. Civil servant Mairi Stevenson received the Imperial Service Medal (ISM) and 43 Commando’s Lieutenant Colonel Pete Kemp was presented with a long service and good conduct medal with bar.
During the visit Lady Elizabeth headed to Helensburgh and toured Churchill Square’s Drumfork Club, currently undergoing a major refurbishment.
Sir Philip said:“HM Naval Base Clyde knows what teamwork and partnership looks like.”
