Getting set to Run ‘n’ Park in Balloch
Keen runners are being invited to lace up their trainers and take part in a community training run which encourages people to get active.
The 5k Balloch Run ’n’Park will start from the main gates of Balloch Park at 9.30am on Saturday and people of all ages and fitness levels can take part by walking, jogging or running.
There is no registration for the event, no fee and no official recording of times.
Maurice Donohue, who organises the event, said:“We want families, children, parents and grandparents to join in.
“It’s all about keeping fit, no matter what your age or fitness level.
“We want to show the community how easy it is to stay active and exercise.
“We want to encourage families to get out and about, especially when we have such great outdoor spaces like Balloch Park on our doorstep.
“A short run on a Saturday morning is a good place to start as it sets you up for the day.”
The Balloch Run‘n’Park takes place every Saturday at 9.30am.There are 5k and 2k routes.
