Threatsin doc­tor’s surgery

A He­lens­burgh man lost his tem­per in a doc­tor’s surgery be­cause there were no ap­point­ments.

Dale Mon­tague, of At­hole Street, re­peat­edly de­manded to see a doc­tor dur­ing the in­ci­dent at He­lens­burgh Med­i­cal Cen­tre, East King Street, on April 25.

The 30-year-old ap­peared at Dum­bar­ton Sher­iff Court last week and ad­mit­ted be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing man­ner by shout­ing, swear­ing, ut­ter­ing threats of vi­o­lence and plac­ing two staff mem­bers and mem­bers of the pub­lic in a state of fear and alarm.

He also ad­mit­ted re­fus­ing to leave when staff ad­vised him there were no ap­point­ments and re­peat­edly bang­ing on a door in the surgery and en­ter­ing a con­sult­ing room with­out per­mis­sion.

Sher­iff Maxwell Hendry de­ferred the case un­til Oc­to­ber 27 for a so­cial work re­port and for a re­stric­tion of lib­erty as­sess­ment to be car­ried out.
