New leisure ser­vice launch

Chil­dren from Col­grain Pri­mary in He­lens­burgh helped launch the new trust which will de­liver leisure and li­brary ser­vices across Argyll and Bute.

The pupils met with Olympic ath­letes-Vicki Adams and Lau­ren Gray, part of-Team GB women’s curl­ing team who are set to com­pete at the-Win­ter Olympics in Pyeong-Chang, South Korea in Fe­bru­ary.

They won bronze at Sochi in 2014 and also at the 2016/17World and Euro­pean Cham­pi­onships.

Chair of Live Argyll, An­drew Nis­bet, said “Live Argyll has a shared com­mit­ment with our coun­cil col­leagues, to play an ac­tive role in en­hanc­ing the health, fit­ness, cul­ture and per­sonal well­be­ing of the cit­i­zens of Argyll and Bute and our vis­i­tors.”

The chil­dren are pic­tured with An­drew, Lau­ren, Vicki and Argyll and Bute Coun­cil leader Coun­cil­lor Aileen Mor­ton.
