Concord Community Cinema
The Wee Look Back archive film session number 36 is today, Wednesday, October 11, at 1.30pm in Dumbarton’s Concord Community Centre with 90 minutes of film from West Dunbartonshire and further afield. Admission is £2, including tea and buns at the interval. Membership subscription for features, classics and musicals film clubs is available at £8 for four films per club.
The Texan Rock Country Western Club are holding a night on Friday, October 13, at the Masonic Hall, Church Street, Dumbarton. Buzzard Creek will provide the music. There will be bingo, a raffle, open the box and fast draw. Accompanied children welcome. Admission £5. Doors open 7.30pm.
Clydebank and District Highland Association are having a ceilidh in the Napier Hall, Old Kilpatrick, on Friday at 7.30pm. Admission at the door £8, including tea and home baking.
On Saturday, October 14, there will be a coffee morning in St Augustine’s Community Hall, Dumbarton for Alzheimer Scotland from 10am until noon. There will be several stalls.

A sale will be held in Riverside Church halls, Dumbarton, on Thursday, October 19, from 10am until 4pm and Friday, October 20, between 10am and 2pm. Adult’s and children’s, household goods, books, toys, bric-a-brac, tombola. Admission £1, including tea/coffee and biscuits.
The Vale of Leven Townswomen’s Children at St Michael’s Primary in Dumbarton handed over donations of money and food to the Scottish SPCA cat and dog home in Milton.

They composed a newsletter for parents and families to broaden their appeal for food and regularly liaised sports development community programme has classes available for children up to 19. Dumbarton Acoustic Music Night will meet at St Augustine’s Church on Friday, October 13. Doors open at 7pm with a start time of 7.30pm, finishing at 10.30pm. £5 entry, take your own bottle and glass. This month there will be music from with staff from the SSPCA via email.
Finally, they held a cake and candy event raising £300. They presented the cheque along with donated bags of food and toys from pupils.
