Vale Juniors overturn the deficit
Vale of Leven Juniors were in action at the weekend as they welcomed Luncarty to Millburn Park for the second round of the Scottish Cup.
It was a successful day for theVale, who celebrated a 3-2 victory despite falling behind by two goals in the first half.
It took just five minutes for the visiting Luncarty to get ahead through Kieran Donald and it was on 35 minutes that they doubled their lead through Dale Smart to put theVale on the back foot.
In the second half, theVale managed to improve their performance, and just two minutes into the second half Matthew Devine got theVale on the scoresheet.
Play continued with theVale desperately seeking another goal and on 64 minutes Andrew Biddulph equalised for theVale.
With both sides on level pegging, it was into extra time that the winner was given their glory, and Ryan Kerr secured a spot for theVale on the next round.
The first team will be back to league action this weekend as they travel to John Cumming Stadium to play Carluke Rovers in the Central League.
