Vale firm shortlisted
An Alexandria business has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award recognising family businesses of all sizes and from all sectors in Scotland.
Mclaggan, which produces mugs and other ceramics for the national and international market, has been shortlisted for Small/Medium Family Business of theYear atThe Scottish Family Business Awards.
The awards, in association with Business Gateway, will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on December 3.
Mclaggan was founded in 1974 byWally and Camille Smith as Mclaggan Smith Prints from their garage in Helensburgh.
Since then, the business has continued to grow, and they now employ 25 staff from the local area at their factory in Jamestown, shipping as far as Japan and Australia.
