Lennox Herald - - THE TICKET -

Free tickets for Dumbarton Castle are up for grabs as part of Historic Environment Scotland’s St Andrew’s Day weekend.

Thousands of complimentary briefs will be handed out as Scotland’s year of history, heritage and archaeology is celebrated.

The tickets will be valid for the St Andrew’s Day weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday, November 26.

More than 30 top visitor attractions will be opening their doors including the iconic castle upon the rock.

Members of the public have from now until 5pm on Friday, November 24 to register online at www.ticketgiveaway.

There is no limit on the number of participating attractions visitors can apply to attend but early online registration is encouraged to avoid disappointment.

Historic Environment Scotland’s director of commercial and tourism, Stephen Duncan said:“I’m delighted to announce that 35 of our sites will be offering free admission as part of this year’s ticket giveaway.”
