OLSP ranks high in re­sults ta­bles

sig­nif­i­cant progress has been made in re­cent years.

“This progress is re­flected in last year’s exam re­sults which high­lighted sec­ondary schools in West Dun­bar­ton­shire are per­form­ing above the na­tional av­er­age for Higher and Na­tional Five exam pass rates.

“We con­tinue to an­a­lyse data from a va­ri­ety of sources along with shar­ing good prac­tice be­tween schools to en­sure pupils reach their full po­ten­tial and achieve their best.

“We are fully com­mit­ted to main­tain­ing our progress to see­ing a con­tin­ued im­prove­ment across all of our sec­ondary schools.”

In Argyll and Bute mean­while, He­lens­burgh’s Her­mitage Academy was ranked 51st af­ter record­ing a two per­cent rise in fig­ures with 47 per­cent of pupils now leave the school hav­ing hit the five higher tar­get.

Na­tion­wide Glas­gow’s Jor­dan­hill School topped the rank­ings for the fifth year in a row, with 88 per­cent of pupils leav­ing with at least five high­ers.

Mearns Cas­tle High School in East Ren­frew­shire and Dun­blane High in Stir­ling com­pleted the top three po­si­tions, with 75 per­cent and 74 per­cent of pupils on tar­get.
