1 You can en­ter as many times as you wish, pro­vid­ing each en­try is ac­com­pa­nied by an orig­i­nal en­try from from Let’s Talk, printed below.

2 The story must be no longer than 1,500 words, be your own orig­i­nal work and must not have been pub­lished any­where else. The sub­ject mat­ter is en­tirely up to you.

3 Each en­try must be typed and ac­com­pa­nied by a ti­tle sheet which in­cludes the en­trant’s name, ad­dress and day­time tele­phone num­ber. We are sorry but we can­not ac­cept hand­writ­ten en­tries.

4 The clos­ing date is Fri­day, June, 23, 2017 and the win­ner will be no­ti­fied by Fri­day, July 21, 2017.

5 No en­tries can be re­turned, so please keep a copy of your work. If you would like an ac­knowl­edge­ment, please in­clude

a stamped ad­dressed en­ve­lope. En­tries can­not be ac­cepted by fax, email or on a com­puter disc or mem­ory stick. Let’s Talk/Archant can­not ac­cept any re­spon­si­bil­ity for lost, dam­aged or de­layed ma­te­rial.

6 Let’s Talk/Archant can­not of­fer in­di­vid­ual cri­tiques of en­tries and the judges’ de­ci­sion will be fi­nal.

7 By en­ter­ing you are agree­ing that Archant has the right to pub­lish with­out fur­ther pay­ment, prizewin­ning and run­ner-up en­tries, in full or abridged, in any book, magazine or pub­li­ca­tion is­sued by Archant.

8 Prizewin­ners and run­ners-up may not en­ter their story in any other com­pe­ti­tion for 12 months at­fer the an­nounce­ment of re­sults, with­out firstly ob­tain­ing writ­ten per­mis­sion from Archant.
