Margaret is a great example of Fit Villages success
Margaret is 78 years old and a keen member of the Fit Villages Kessingland Beginners Running programme.
Margaret says: “I am proud to say that I have reduced my blood sugar reading from 8.2 to 4.9... and I have lost two stones.
“I am the oldest of our group - I walk while the others run. I also walk briskly round Kessingland every day which takes me between 25 and 30 minutes. I feel so much better for doing it.”
Ben Jackson, who manages the Fit Villages project, says: “Margaret is a great example of someone who has wholeheartedly committed to a local Fit Villages project, attending every week and improving her health and wellbeing.
“This is much more than a running group, it is an important social activity which brings people together. They have developed a very strong bond, and it is a privilege to see them grow and thrive together.”
