COMEDIAN HAL

Let's Talk - - DIARY DATES -

Cruttenden presents Chubster at Bury St Edmunds’ Apex Theatre.

Hal’s literally filled our screens on Have I Got News For You, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Bake Off: Extra Slice, and Live at the Apollo. He’s now on a diet!

On Friday, October 19 there is a Tribute To The Music of Rush by Exit Stage Left, perfect if you like the musical intricacy and compositional brilliance of Rush, don’t care that there are four blokes on stage not three, and that they haven’t dressed up in wigs.

Wednesday, October 24 sees Mokoomba, Zimbabwe’s most celebrated young band bring joyful performances of songs rooted in the local traditions and life in their hometown of Victoria Falls.

Lyrical and beautifully breezy, Mokoomba’s new album ‘Luyando’ is also a spiritual journey into the heart of Zimbabwean society, culture and tradition.

Rich Hall’s Hoedown graces the stage on Thursday, October 25.

There has never been a better time to be an American comedian in the UK. Hall’s precision dismantling of the tenuous relationship between two countries is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever.

On Friday, October 26, Legend of a Band: A Tribute to The Moody Blues is on for one night only.

Impeccable performances of classic hits including ‘Nights in White Satin’, ‘Go Now’, ‘Tuesday Afternoon’, ‘Forever Autumn’ and a show-stealing rendition of ‘Eve of the War’ from Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds should keep fans happy.

On Tuesday, October 30 Slade & Mud II gives fans the chance to rock ‘n’ roll, enjoy outrageous flamboyance and great fun with Slade songs include ‘Cum On Feel The Noize’, ‘Coz I Luv You’ and ‘Mama Weer All Crazee Now’, while Mud brings ‘Tiger Feet’, ‘Dyna- Mite’ and ‘The Cat Crept In’.

Andy Fairweather Low and The Low Riders appear on Wednesday, October 31.

Andy came to prominence as the lead singer in Amen Corner, with hits such as such as ‘Bend Me Shape Me’ and ‘( If Paradise is) Half as Nice’. This tour features the Hi Riders Special Soul Review – an extended brass section and Hammond organ throughout the show.

For further information call the Box Office on 01284 758000. The show is also at the Corn Exchange, King’s Lynn, on October 13.
