creating and using a new git repo with gitkraken

Linux User & Developer - - Tutorial -

After downloading and installing GitKraken, click the folder icon at the top left of the screen to create a new Git repo. The repo can be created locally, or online using the built-in integration with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Visual Studio Team Services. gitignore templates are included for a huge number of languages and an appropriate licence can be added automatically. An initial commit will be created with the new files and the icons at the top of the screen can be used to push. At this point you don’t even need to spark up your IDE – you can use GitKraken’s built-in editor to start creating code! Select the tree view on the right-hand side of the screen, right-click and select ‘Create file’. Double-click to open the editor.
