we’re following Petersham nurseries
#We took our time over the slow food (which arrived remarkably swiftly) in easily the hippest garden-centre restaurant in the land. With bougainvillea and jasmine swirling overhead and eccentric english garden chic décor, there was plenty of alfresco atmosphere to soak up. All the ingredients, from the broad beans to the asparagus are grown in the walled garden or in the Dorset farm of the Boglione family, owners of Petersham House.
#We HADN’T realised that the iconic venue was also open on selected evenings over the summer fora series of candle lit supper clubs. # We’ve Already Booked for oxfordshire’s Wilderness festival,3-6august, the grown-up festival for nomads and gastronomes, rockers and roamers, where Petersham is headlining on the food front with a feasting menu comprising delights such as courgette shavings, pea shoots, buratta and basil and zisola olive oil. # We stocked up on more than just bedding plants, taking home a basket load of room fragrances, plain white china, vintage glassware and a crystal chandelier.
#We checked out the new outshoot in covent Garden and picked up a few treats from the florist, wine cellar, delicatessan and homes
and garden store. (petershamnurseries.com)
