* People are reassessing how they interact with their bathroom, viewing the area as somewhere to relax and unwind, as opposed to being solely utilitarian.

* Choose body jets, waterfall shower heads and mist jets for your showering zone. There are lighting and music options that can be integrated into a bathroom for early morning wake-ups and late-evening relaxation.

* Thanks to new innovations, you can now enjoy the luxury of steam integrated into your shower enclosure, eliminating the need for extra space. Similar developments have seen more affordable sauna offerings being introduced.

* Products such as colour-changing LEDS, a showersteam generator, or a multi-function shower head, will enhance your bathroom experience.

* Natural stone adds warmth and detail to your space. Alternatively, opt for porcelain titles that look like stone and wood, but don’t require the maintenance of natural materials. Deep-wood grain on furniture veneers, or rough textures on tiles, make everything tactile and touchable.

* Even if you don’t have a large space, you can still get the ‘spa’ look. Incorporating wall-mounted product into your bathroom design will keep the space looking ‘light’, while using mirrors to enhance the natural light will help the space seem bigger.
