ALL IS WELL
Thanks very much magazine for your recent articles on visiting a pharmacy/doctor (October 2015 issue), which proved very timely. On a recent visit to our holiday home in France, I discovered that I had left my medication at home in the UK. Having read the article, I knew the French vocabulary for my condition and was able to approach the local pharmacist who told me that this medicine was available in France, but I would need to visit the doctor for a prescription. She recommended a local GP and I managed to obtain an appointment the same day (which would be unlikely in the UK) and obtain the needed medicine. This enabled us to continue with our holiday.
