Property prices

Tarn has an average re-sale price of €135,000, considerably less than the regional average for Midi-Pyrénées which is €157,000.

Tarn enjoys more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year and has hot summers with temperatures in the high 20s. Winters are mild and spring and autumn are warm and pleasant.

Tarn has a number of fortified historic villages, including Cordes-sur-Ciel which was voted France’s favourite village in 2014, and boasts four plus beaux villages – Castelnau-de-Montmiral, Lautrec, Monestiés and Puycelsi. The capital, Albi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to the huge brick Cathédrale SainteCécile, the Palais de la Berbie and one of France’s oldest bridges, the Pont-Vieux. The Tarn valley is popular with hikers and there are plenty of vineyards to explore.
