After a triumphant reopening that attracted one million visitors, the Musée National Picasso-Paris presents its first major international exhibition: Picasso. Sculptures. The aim of the exhibition, running from 8 March to 28 August, in the recently renovated museum is to contemplate the artist’s work by considering his lesser-known sculptures. Featuring over 240 pieces, it is the largest collection of his sculpted work assembled since the Picasso Sculptor exhibition at the Pompidou Centre back in 2000. Putting unique works such as the Verres d’Absinthe series and Baigneurs on display goes to show that painting was not Picasso’s only artistic streak of genius, shining a light on yet more of his originally talented ways. museepicassoparis.fr
