2The an­nual Chopin Fes­ti­val pays trib­ute to the mu­si­cal mae­stro through a se­ries of con­certs and con­fer­ences in the L’Orangerie gar­dens of Paris’s Parc de Ba­gatelle. From 18 June to 14 July, clas­si­cal mu­sic afi­ciona­dos will de­light in hear­ing dif­fer­ent in­ter­pre­ta­tions of the Pol­ish com­poser’s pieces by in­ter­na­tional pi­anists plus orig­i­nal com­po­si­tions, in­spired by the com­poser’s work. The ‘Pi­ano Open Doors’ ini­tia­tive al­lows young mu­si­cians and in­ter­na­tion­ally ac­claimed pi­anists to put their own spin on some of the mu­si­cian’s best-known pieces. fred­eric-chopin.com
