Tak­ing place ev­ery other year, the

in Dieppe is con­sid­ered to be one of the world’s largest kite fes­ti­vals. Held on the seafront lawns at Dieppe beach from the 36th edi­tion of the fes­ti­val has a theme of ‘ Les Arts Pre­miers’ show­cas­ing abo­rig­i­nal, native, tra­di­tional and folk art among the colour­ful col­lec­tion of kites on display. The event, which at­tracts around half a mil­lion vis­i­tors, has an in­ter­na­tional feel and each year it in­vites 40 dif­fer­ent coun­tries, honour­ing a dif­fer­ent one each time. This year, it’s Canada’s turn.
