A new mu­seum ded­i­cated to the her­itage craft of glass mak­ing in the com­mune of Sars-Po­ter­ies in the Nord de­part­ment is open­ing on Clad in lo­cal blue stone, will show­case over 3,000 glass cre­ations made by both lo­cal 19th-cen­tury crafts­men and con­tem­po­rary artists from all over the world in an ex­hi­bi­tion space of more than 4,000m2. The mu­seum con­tains the largest state-owned col­lec­tion of works by in­ter­na­tional glass artists, mak­ing it one of the most sig­nif­i­cant col­lec­tions of its kind in Europe. Take a trip to the mu­seum to see one of sev­eral ex­hi­bi­tions or wan­der around the new space to take in the per­ma­nent col­lec­tion.
