The influence of the Brits in the commune is still cause for celebration, most notably at the end of September when the town hosts the Festival du Film Britannique from 28 September to 2 October. Launched in 1989, the festival has become a major venue for film-makers and attracts a whole host of both French and British cinematic celebrities from Catherine Deneuve and Charlotte Rampling to Hugh Grant and Sienna Miller, who all come to be beside the seaside and watch the best of British. festivaldufilm-di
