Living France - - DÉCOUVRE -

As many people were, I was horrified when I saw the recent attacks on Nice. I have spent many holidays in Nice and the surrounding area over the years. Despite these tragic events, I will not stop visiting one of my favourite parts of France and I am already planning a trip there this autumn.

We particularly enjoy walking in the town – along the Promenade des Anglais and up the Castle Hill where the views of La Baie des Anges are amazing, and there is some muchneeded shade from the Mediterranean sun! It’s such a beautiful spot with stunning views of the coastline. In the evenings, there is plenty of choice for restaurants, but we often choose to go to one in the harbour where we can admire the yachts. The Old Town is perfect for sitting for a while drinking a coffee and watching the world go by.

On our next visit we are hoping to visit Monte-Carlo as it is so close, although we may need to save up if we want to have a flutter in the casino!

Here is a picture I took of Nice’s harbour a few years ago. I can’t wait to be there again in October.
