December in France

Living France - - News -

The historic town of Quimper (pronounced cam-pair), the administrative capital of Finistère, is regarded as the cultural heart of Brittany. While many flock to this part of France during the warm summer months, a visit in winter is equally delightful. The town is home to the impressive cathedral of St-Corentin (named after Quimper’s first bishop), and is said to be the best example of Gothic religious architecture in Brittany. Wander along Rue Kéréon ( pictured) and you will find many shops, from high street names to those selling traditional Breton produce. tourismequimper.com
